The Continental Party
Reclaiming Our Heritage
God   Country   Liberty

In his insightful and thought provoking book (Culture War?) Morris Fiorina* decries the state of politics in America.  “Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right, here I am, stuck in the middle with you.”
From Stealer’s Wheel 1973 pop hit.

“The extremes are over represented in the political arena and the center under represented.”

“Extremists march, work in campaigns, give money, and otherwise push their views more strongly than do moderates.”

“I emphasize that this pattern of biased participation is broad and pervasive.”

“There is no reason to support a political order that disproportionately enhances power of intense minorities.”

“How might we diminish the influence of the clowns and jokers and expand the influence of the middle?”

“There will be no help from the political class itself.  Nor will most politicians be of much help.”

“The media potentially could be of some use.  Despite pious pronouncements about the role of the media as the guardian of democracy, the media consist largely of profit-sector enterprises that will continue to behave as such.  That means an emphasis on differences among Americans rather than commonalities.   “Americans Agree on Core Values” is not a headline that editors expect to sell newspapers.

There it is!  The extremists have taken over the Democratic and Republican Parties.  They care little about the desires and values of the majority in the middle.   The Professional Politicians and the Political Class are destroying the country, undermining the constitution, and burying future generations under mounds of debt and obligation.

America is no longer a representative republic.  It is an oligarchy (rule of the few).   No longer content taxing the middle to promote the radical agendas of the extremes, they are now stealing from the children and grandchildren of middle class Americans.

When pondering the possibility of changing such an obviously troubled political system, Dr. Fiorina writes, “I am not optimistic.”

There is but one answer for the unrepresentative form of government that has been allowed to evolve:  Counter-Revolution!

The People Must Unite In Support Of A New Majority Party!**

This is the conclusion of The Continental Party and not necessarily that of Dr. Fiorina
